Welcome to David's Christian Learning Center, a Christian outreach program of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. 

Our goal is to raise young ambassadors for Christ (2 Cor. 5:20) and prepare them for Christian living in this world. We strive to teach children about the love of Christ, in hopes that they may impact our larger community by demonstrating the simplicity and awesomeness of God's love. We desire to provide each child with a solid foundation for their lives and have a relationship with Christ into adulthood. Research has proven that if a child does not receive a rigorous Christian education before the age of five, they may never know Jesus as an adult.

David's approach is to provide a loving and safe environment for children to learn God's Word. Our classrooms are structured with 11 different learning centers which are an extension of the Bible-based curriculum emphasized in the small group setting. We also incorporate sign language and Spanish into the daily curriculum. We address each child's unique personality, needs and skill level. Emphasis is placed on caring for the whole child, physically, emotionally, socially, mentally and spiritually.

The staff at David's doesn't consider this a job - but a calling. We work for the great Lord Jesus Christ and through His love we serve these children. It is an honor to be part of this ministry.
